Pre launching of GO MAD 2 - 10th September 2017

The pre-launch of Go MAD (Make A Difference) 2, took place in front of the Church of The Visitation, Seremban before the Sunday 9.00 am mass on 10th September, 2017 under the watchful eye of Our Lady and a beautiful blue skies above. At the brief launching was Parish Priest Rev. Fr George Harrison, accompanied by Assistant Parish Priest Rev Fr. Andrew Kooi and visiting Priests - Rev Fr. Moses Rayappan (Church of St. Henry, Batu Pahat) and Rev Fr. Selvam (India). Witnessed by some 150 parishioners and the organizing committee members, the pre-launch was a prelude to the 2nd edition of Go MAD carnival which is scheduled on the 16th September, 2017 with the theme “Unity in Divinity”. The 1st Go MAD carnival took place on the 14th October, 2015 at the Church grounds with the theme “Mission Towards Transforming Humanity”.

Preparation and planning for the 2nd carnival started in May, 2017 with some 40 people in the organizing team headed by Glen Sebastian and with the guidance and support by both Parish Priests. This 2nd carnival in conjunction with the Church of The Visitation’s journey towards 170 years next year, will be a special event as the date chosen commemorates with Hari Malaysia and will be officiated by Y.B. Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Joseph Kurup, Minister in The Prime Minister’s Department.

At the pre-launch, Glen Sebastian, welcomed all for coming and also the supports given. “Keep us in your prayer and pray for a good weather on that day”, he added. Fr. George Harrison in his speech said, “Let’s go make a difference today in our lives and in others”. Later all the priests joined hands to cut the ribbon.

As scriptures says, “
Be Joyful in Hope, Patient in Affliction, Faithful in Prayer” (Romans 12:12), may the Go MAD 2 carnival happening in the Church of the Visitation, Seremban, be the avenue for us to be a Disciple of Hope – Creative, Inclusive and Bridge-building with peoples of all faiths in this beloved country of Malaysia.
