Special Baptism for RE Children - 11th November 17

The Sacrament of Baptism often called "The door of the Church” was co-administered to 16 children including 3 infants on 11th November 17 after the Sunset mass by Rev Fr. George Harrison and Rev. Fr. Andrew Kooi.

Children and Infants to be baptised with their respective Parents and Godparents outside of the entrance of the Church.

Parents and Godparents with their children and infants were then welcomed into the Church and invited to be seated accordingly.

Rev Fr. George Harrison and Rev. Fr. Andrew Kooi co-presided the Baptism rituals and ceremony. The Gospel reading was proclaimed by Fr. Andrew and who later delivered a short homily.

"(Name), I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." as both Fathers took turns to pour the water over the head of the 16 children including 3 infants at the Baptismal font.

Catholic Parents and Godparents must help the baptised child/infant (below) by actively giving good Christian witness and example. Being a role model and support by regularly and faithfully practicing the Catholic faith.

In His encounter with Nicodemus (John 3:1-21), Christ made it clear that baptism was necessary for salvation: "Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

A word of thanks to all (couples or individuals) who provided the Parents and Godparents with the Baptism Instruction and Guidelines one week prior to the Baptism date.
